IMPACT FITNESS is the health & fitness community initiative led and facilitated by Gateway Community Trust (The Gate Church), Papakura. We have beEN in our community for 25 years and have been blessed to be a blessing to our community spiritually, mentally, socially and physically.
We organised 8 Week, 10 Week programmes which focus on a set calendar event on the running calendar which help an individual tick off a bucket-list goal whilst losing weight and creating new healthy habits. Our lead trainer is Lydia Fa'afiu who has a passion for fitness and nutrition.
Our two main running events we train for are the Rotorua Marathon (May) and the Mt Maunganui Half (August). There are small distances for beginners (5km) and (10km) walk / run you can do as well as we have found that training together makes a big difference in reaching your goal.
In 2019 we have also taken over spearheading the Papakura community run which we have called HopeRun (5km and 10km) with the next goal to add a 21km with a percentage of the funds going to our charity partners HopeWalk Suicide Prevention Trust.
